科研方面,作为项目负责人承担国家自然科学基金面上项目、国家自然科学基金青年项目、博士后科学基金面上一等资助等;作为科研骨干参与国家973计划、国家自然科学基金、广东省重点研发计划项目等。近年发表学术论文70余篇(包括Advanced Materials, Chemical Society Reviews, Advanced Energy Materials, Nano Letters, Materials Today, Advanced Functional Materials, Nano Energy, Energy Storage Materials等),10篇入选ESI高被引论文,总引用超过5500余次,H因子42(Google Scholar);申请国家发明专利20项,其中授权5项。
教学方面,主讲本科生课程《能源材料与器件综合实验》和《环境材料》,主讲研究生课程《储能二次电池材料与技术》;作为主编之一,出版学术专著1部《钠离子电池关键材料》,出版新编教材2部《新型二次电池体系与材料》、《电化学储能设计及应用》。
学术兼职方面,担任Carbon Neutralization, Progress in Natural Science: Materials International期刊青年编委,担任Batteries期刊钠离子电池特刊客座编辑等。

主要从事低成本高性能钠离子电池电极材料的设计与优化,包括钠离子电池层状、聚阴离子型正极材料,钠离子电池金属硫族化合物、碳基、硅基负极材料,以及相关电化学反应机制、原位结构表征和理论模拟计算方面的研究。
